Un suboficial de la Policía Federal mató durante un tiroteo a un delincuente que, junto a un cómplice, le quiso robar cuando viajaba en un tren, en la localidad bonaerense de Gerli, informaron hoy fuentes de la fuerza.
El hecho ocurrió el miércoles, alrededor de las 23, a la altura del mencionado distrito del partido de Avellaneda, en la zona sur del Gran Buenos Aires.
Fuentes policiales informaron a Télam que un cabo que desempeña sus tareas en la comisaría 4ta. de la Capital Federal tomó el tren en la localidad de Longchamps con destino al barrio porteño de Constitución.
Una vez a bordo de la formación, el efectivo que estaba vestido con ropas de civil fue amenazado por dos delincuentes con fines de robo.
Según las fuentes, uno de los asaltantes le exhibió un arma de fuego y el suboficial le entregó su teléfono celular.
De acuerdo a los voceros, cuando los ladrones estaban por descender en la estación de Gerli, el policía dio la voz de alto y extrajo su pistola reglamentaria.
En ese momento, el cabo fue atacado a balazos y repelió la agresión, por lo que se originó un tiroteo que culminó con la muerte de uno de los ladrones.
Efectivos de la comisaría 2da. de Gerli fueron alertados por el enfrentamiento y aprehendieron al cómplice que resultó ileso, al igual que el policía.
El hecho es investigado por la fiscal Solange Cáceres, a cargo de la Unidad Funcional de Instrucción (UFI) 3 descentralizada en Avellaneda, Departamento Judicial Lomas de Zamora.
