El precandidato a intendente por el Frente para la Victoria de Almirante Brown, Mariano Cascallares donó instrumentos de viento para la Orquesta Escuela de Almirante Brown, una espacio de formación musical para niños y jóvenes del distrito.
Cascallares destacó la importancia de las orquestas escolares y aseguró que “es una gran satisfacción que los chicos cuenten con estos espacios de formación y recreación impulsados por el Gobierno de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. Vamos a continuar apoyando y colaborando con estás políticas para que crezcan y le den la posibilidad a miles de jóvenes de desarrollar su vocación”.
“La Orquesta Escuela de Almirante Brown tiene el objetivo de que niños y adolescentes puedan conocer la práctica orquestal, enriquecer sus capacidades musicales y aprender a trabajar en equipo. Hasta este momento teníamos la escuela de cuerdas formada por 120 músicos de entre 10 y 21 años“, explicó el coordinador pedagógico, Pabo Gandolfo, quién señaló que “gracias a la donación de Mariano ahora vamos a poder armar nuestra escuela de vientos, algo que estábamos buscando hace mucho pero nos faltaban los primeros instrumentos para lograrlo”.
El Programa de Orquestas-Escuela implementado desde la Dirección de Educación Artística dependiente de la Dirección General de Cultura y Educación de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. En la actualidad la Provincia tiene 24 Orquestas Escuela de las que participan más de 2.500 alumnos y 250 profesores.
Las orquestas están dirigidas a niños y adolescentes, en particular a aquellos que se encuentran en situación de vulnerabilidad socioeducativa, y ofrece el acceso al conocimiento y la producción musical a través de una propuesta metodológica innovadora basada en la práctica orquestal, promoviendo la continuidad de los estudios, la contención de los niños y jóvenes participantes y, finalmente, la inserción laboral.
En Almirante Brown esta propuesta fue creciendo y hoy tiene tres sedes: una en la Casa de la Cultura de Adrogué, otra en el Barrio San Gerónimo y otra en la Escuela N° 71 de Rafael Calzada. “Tratamos de tener sedes en puntos estratégicos para que puedan participar chicos de todo el distrito“, explica Galdolfo quien destaca que los sorprendió la participación de los jóvenes “ahora casi no tenemos vacantes, a los chicos les gusta la música y encuentra en la orquesta un lugar de integración y desarrollo personal y profesional”.
Con los instrumentos donados por Cascallares la orquesta va a poder tener su escuela de vientos. “Va a empezar a funcionar en la Escuela 9 de Longchamps después de las vacaciones de invierno. Los invitamos a los chicos y jóvenes a sumarse a este espacio”, informa Galdolfo.
Los que quieren escuchar a la Orquesta Escuela de Almirante Brown pueden acercarse el sábado a las 12 a la Casa de la Cultura donde los jóvenes músicos harán una presentación por el cierre del cuatrimestre escolar.
