El Ministro del Interior y Transporte, Florencio Randazzo, participará este noche de las pruebas que se realizarán con los trenes cero kilómetro que fueron adquiridos para la Línea Roca y que entrarán en servicio a partir de junio próximo.
Randazzo llegará cerca de las a las 23 a la estación Banfield, donde abordará una de las nuevas formaciones que se encuentra realizando pruebas nocturnas de circulación hasta la estación Constitución, en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
Los nuevos trenes de la línea Roca comenzarán a prestar servicio en junio. Se trata de 300 coches 0km que cuentan con la última tecnología en seguridad y confort que duplicarán la capacidad de transporte, según se informó desde la cartera que conduce el precandidato presidencial del Frente para la Victoria.
De esta manera, el Roca será el cuarto ferrocarril del Área Metropolitana que se renueva por completo: las líneas Sarmiento, Mitre y San Martín ya cuentan con trenes nuevos, todos con aire acondicionado, calefacción, cámaras de seguridad, suspensión neumática y sistema de frenado ABS.
Además, según se informó, está en plena ejecución la obra de electrificación del ramal Constitución – La Plata, para la que el Estado Nacional está invirtiendo 500 millones de dólares. Esto permitirá también llegar hasta la capital de la provincia en trenes eléctricos de última generación
