Una banda acusada de haber cometido 63 secuestros virtuales en los partidos bonaerenses de La Plata y San Vicente, y que tenía su base de operaciones en la Capital Federal, fue desarticulada en las últimas
horas, informaron hoy fuentes policiales.
La organización cayó en allanamientos realizados en la ciudad de Buenos Aires y en la localidad bonaerense de Munro, donde se incautaron una carabina calibre 22, una pistola 9 milímetros, joyas, dinero en efectivo y electrodomésticos. En los operativos hubo cuatro detenidos, todos de la colectividad gitana.
Según informaron las fuentes, los delincuentes tenían su centro de operaciones en una casa de la Capital Federal, desde donde realizaban los llamados extorsivos. En tanto, en una vivienda de Munro guardaban las joyas y el dinero que obtenían por los rescates.
Las detenciones de los secuestradores virtuales y los allanamientos estuvieron a cargo de efectivos policiales de la Coordinación Departamental Investigaciones La Plata.
La banda era liderada por integrantes de la comunidad gitana, mientras seguían los operativos para atrapar a más cómplices.
La investigación comenzó el 1ro. de octubre del año pasado cuando se recibió una denuncia de una familia de San Vicente que pagó rescate por un falso secuestro.
En las pesquisas se pudo determinar que estos delincuentes habían cometido 63 hechos, que se encuentran “probados”, aunque se presume que podrían ser muchos más, destacaron las fuentes.
Los llamados se hacían de noche en circunstancias en que las víctimas se hallaban descansando y los integrantes de la banda exigían una suma de dinero y joyas a cambio de la “liberación” del supuesto secuestrado.
La metodología era la clásica en estos casos: llamar en varias oportunidades, montando una escena que incluía gritos y llantos, para engañar a las víctimas.
Las personas que cayeron en la trampa de la banda sacaban a la vereda el dinero y las joyas que podían reunir en ese momento, y minutos después uno de los delincuentes retiraba el pago del rescate.
En el caso intervinieron la Unidad Funcional de Instrucción y Juicio 2 y el Juzgado de Garantías 2, ambos pertenecientes al Departamento
Judicial La Plata.
