Tras el ataque, Nicolás quedó gravemente herido, tirado en la vereda y fue trasladado al hospital vecinal de Lanús, donde ingresó ya sin vida.
Gamboni era hijo de la dirigente del massismo Claudia Serapio, candidata a senadora bonaerense por el Frente Renovador en las últimas elecciones.
