No obstante, estas buenas nuevas no serán las únicas protagonisas del encuentro, que sesionará en en el custodiadísimo Centro de Convenciones Atlapa, ya que el jefe demócrata deberá escuchar el reclamo de Venezuela y varios países de la región, que rechazan su decreto de calificar al estado bolivariano como una inusual amenaza para su seguridad interna.
Obama ha enviado señales y ha explicado que a pesar de lo que dice el decreto “Venezuela no es una amenaza” para su país, pero si bien intentó bajar los decibeles no retiró el decreto, lo que dará pie al reclamo del presidente venezolano, Nicolás Maduro, que le presentará unas 10 millones de firmas de ciudadanos de ese país que rechazan la medida.
Estas palabras fueron festejadas por Maduro, quien no se privó del sarcasmo: “Logramos que que el presidente Obama reconociera de palabra que Venezuela no es una amenaza, ahora #ObamaDerogaElDecretoYa”, dijo a través de la red social Twitter.
