La presidenta Cristina Fernández de Kichner inaugura hoy la estación Ciudad Universitaria del Belgrano Norte, la primera construida en el área metropolitana en unos 30 años, que apunta a dar respuesta a los miles de estudiantes de la UBA que estudian allí.
La nueva estación está ubicada en la avenida Cantilo a la altura del puente Angel Labruna, frente al estadio de River Plate, según se indicó.
La estación viene a solucionar un problema que tenían los estudiantes que tenían que caminar alrededor de 700 metros desde la estación Raúl Scalabrini Ortiz, la más cercana a los pabellones.
Del acto participará l gobernador bonaerense y candidato a presidente por el Frente para la Victoria, Daniel Scioli y el ministro del Interior y Transporte, Florencio Randazzo, otras autoridades del gabinete nacional, así como representantes de la industria, y dirigentes gremiales.
Se indicó que se trata de una estación moderna y confortable, en la cual se han invertido 48 millones de pesos y cuenta con refugios, iluminación LED, cámaras de vigilancia, ascensores, venta electrónica de boletos con la tarjeta SUBE y un puente peatonal que la conecta directamente con la Ciudad Universitaria de la UBA.
La construcción de esta nueva estación y la puesta en marcha de los trenes 0 kilómetro en la línea es parte de la decisión política de la Presidenta de renovar todos los ferrocarriles de pasajeros del Área Metropolitana.
