El precandidato a intendente de Almirante Brown por el Frente para la Victoria le ganaba a Giustozzi por 20 puntos de ventaja. Mariano Cascallares agradeció el trabajo de los militantes y “a los vecinos de Brown que confiaron en la lista 2”. Su candidato a primer concejal, José Lepere, dijo que el de ayer fue un triunfo “del proyecto nacional y popular por sobre las ambiciones personales”.
La mañana empezó así: con los fiscales de la lista 2 del Frente para la Victoria tratando de salvar la misteriosa picardía del rival: quitar de las mesas las boletas que tenían el apellido Cascallares cortado (“Cascallar”) y que hacían peligrar la validez de los votos que colectara Mariano Cascallares. La militancia se movió rápido y logró sofocar el primer foco de un domingo que a pesar de la lluvia arrancaba con fuego. Siguió con un desarrollo más o menos normal, salvo algunas -ya clásicas- falta de boletas en escuelas de José Mármol y siguió con un arrasador triunfo de Cascallares sobre Rubén Darío Giustozzi en Almirante Brown, una derrota categórica que en algunas mesas lo dejó tercero al ex aliado de Sergio Massa.
“No podemos decir por cuánto, pero hay que festejar”, aseguró José Lepere, candidato a primer concejal por la lista de Cascallares. Lo dijo ante la prensa en el centro de cómputos de Mariano Cascallares en la avenida Hipólito Yrigoyen al 13500, de Adrogué, donde el clima a las 22 ya era festivo, máxime teniendo el cuenta que un rato antes Daniel Bolettieri, intendente actual de Almirante Brown, reconoció, con cara larga, que la derrota era una realidad y hasta se atrevió a felicitar a la lista de Cascallares-Lepere.
Cerca de la medianoche llegaron los primeros números oficiales, donde la diferencia era de 22 puntos porcentuales a favor de Cascallares. A las 00.15 Cascallares tomó el micrófono: “Los compañeros dejaron todo en estas elecciones”, reconoció. Y reveló luego que el actual intendente, Daniel Bolettieri, lo llamó para felicitarlo.
Rápidamente despertó la ovación de los que se encontraban en el búnker: “La victoria es lograr un Almirante Brown más justo con las políticas de Néstor y Cristina, que ahora tienen continuidad con Daniel Scioli”. Y reflexionó: “Dimos un gran paso, hoy festejamos, pero a partir de ahora tenemos que redoblar el esfuerzo porque tenemos que dar la pelea el 25 de octubre”.
“Este es el triunfo de la militancia, de un proyecto por sobre las ambiciones personales”, remarcó Lepere a su turno, mientras la ventaja se estiraba hasta trepar casi al 25 por ciento con el 10 por ciento de las mesas escrutadas.
