Cada 30 de mayo se conmemora el Día Nacional de la Donación de Órganos y Tejidos porque fue el día en que nació el hijo de la primera paciente trasplantada de hígado en un hospital público en nuestro país (Hospital Argerich), mostrando que es posible vivir y dar vida después de un trasplante.
En este marco durante esta semana se llevó a cabo la firma de un convenio entre los hospitales que integran la red “El cruce” y el INCUCAI, el CUCAIBA y los ministerios de Salud de Nación y Provincia, con el objeto de incrementar los donantes de órganos en la región conformada por Florencio Varela, Berazategui, Quilmes y Almirante Brown. Uno de los hospitales que adhirió a esta iniciativa es el Oñativia de Rafael Calzada.
Por medio del acuerdo los hospitales se comprometen a realizar gran parte del proceso de donación (detección, diagnóstico de muerte encefálica, mantenimiento), mientras que CUCAIBA e INCUCAI financian bajo un esquema simular al sumar las prestaciones.

“El objetivo es que los hospitales pongan en sus agendas la procuración de órganos mejorando los resultados tanto en cantidad d donantes como en calidad”, destacó el ministerio de Salud provincial, Alejandro Collia, durante la firma del convenio.
En lo que va del año se consiguieron 17 donantes de órganos y más de 35 de tejidos con menos de 5% de negativa a la donación, siendo la tasa promedio del país del 40 y de la provincia de 30%. Y en lo que va del primer cuatrimestre, Cucaiba lleva un aumento del 19% de donantes de órganos y duplica los donantes de tejidos.
“Estos resultados se generaron sumando otros actores sanitarios, fundamentalmente con la incorporación de enfermería y los promotores de la donación formando equipos interdisciplinarios, que cuentan también con trasplantados que son fundamentales a la hora de transmitir la importancia de la donación”, explicó el presidente de Cucaiba, Adrián Tarditti.
Tarditti destacó que “otros avances importantes son el aumento del porcentaje de trasplante en el sistema público; la incorporación de equipo renopancreático en el CRAI norte, el aumento de los trasplantes en el Hospital Néstor Kirchner y la incorporación de equipo de trasplante de córneas en el Dipróspero de Tres de Febrero”.
El CUCAIBA desarrolla, junto con este tipo de acuerdos, formaciones permanentes del personal de salud a través de charlas, jornadas y congresos a la vez que organiza eventos y campañas en todo el territorio bonaerense dirigidos al público para concientizar sobre la importancia del compromiso de toda la población en la donación de órganos.
