Una mujer fue asesinada de un balazo en el pecho en las últimas horas cuando intentó defender a su hijo de un asalto frente a su casa en Lomas de Zamora. Un jefe policial informó que la víctima fue identificada como Virginia Ortiz Beltrán Medina, ciudadana boliviana de 55 años.
El hecho se produjo anoche, alrededor de las 23, en la esquina de las calles La Calandria y La Pampa, del barrio San José.
La mujer fue herida de un balazo en el pecho al tratar de auxiliar a su hijo, de 36 años, víctima de dos ladrones que lo interceptaron en la puerta de la casa cuando regresaba del gimnasio.
Según dijeron los voceros, cuando la mujer llegó al lugar observó que los hombres armados y tenían sometido a su hijo y le pedían la entrega de sus pertenencias, por lo que reaccionó de inmediato y se abalanzó sobre ellos.
Tras un breve forcejeo, uno de los asaltantes logró zafar uno de sus brazos y le disparó a la mujer un tiro en el pecho que le produjo la muerte prácticamente en el acto. Finalmente, los agresores tomaron la billetera del hijo de la víctima, subieron a un automóvil de color claro y escaparon de la zona a toda velocidad
