Alegría en Lonchamps para el público de Lomas, que con un gran marco pudo festejar al fin el cierre de una racha de 12 años sin poder festejar un triunfo frente a Pucará al que finalmente venció de forma categórica por 39 a 19.
El primer tiempo fue parejo, muy reñido y no hubo muchas diferencias en el tanteador, recién a falta de dos minutos para el final de ese periodo, Lomas pudo estirar un poco la distancia. Los lomenses comenzaron ganando gracias a un drop, sin embargo el primero en anotar una conquista fue el elenco de Burzaco, que mediante Germán Klubus, se ubicaba 5-3 arriba. Luego, en una ráfaga de 180 segundos, los comandados por Federico Nicolino y Martín Serigos conviertieron un penal y un try, para dar vuelta las acciones del cotejo.
A falta de seis minutos para que acabe la etapa inicial, el Rojo volvió a penetrar la meta rival de la mano de Klubus, quien realizó un movimiento semejante al del primer try, y se colocó 12-13. No obstante, en una de las últimas jugadas, Lomas agrandó las distancias numéricas con otra conquista y puso el 20-12 con el que se cerró el periodo. El visitante estuvo a punto de irse en ventaja al entretiempo cuando Juan Cappiello enfilaba hacia la bandera, pero por desgracia fue detenido a pocos metros del ingoal.
Apenas iniciado el complemento, Guido Albertario llegó al try, que dejaba a su equipo nuevamente a una unidad de distancia. Pucará se ilusionaba con conseguir un nuevo triunfo en Longchamps, como los logrados la temporada pasada, y no bajaba los brazos. Pero a partir de ese momento, el Tricolor sacó a relucir su mejor cara y sentenció el pleito. Tres tries consecutivos acabaron con las esperanzas de los visitantes, desatando la euforia del público local.
Lomas cerró un gran partido y nada menos que ante su clásico, quien mostró una cara desconocida, vulnerable en defensa y sin ideas en ataque. Sin embargo, faltando una fecha para que culmine el URBA Top 14, ambos equipos pueden alcanzar el repechaje por la última plaza al Nacional de Clubes, como así también enfrentarse nuevamente. Pucará recibirá como local al SIC, mientras que Lomas visitará a Pueyrredón en una última jornada que promete ser apasionante.
