El candidato presidencial por el Frente para la Victoria, Daniel Scioli, se comprometió además a “dar continuidad y mayor presupuesto” a las inversiones y proyectos en materia de ciencia y tecnología, en caso de ser electo presidente.
Pasar del actual 0,6 por ciento del Producto Bruto Interno (PBI) dedicado al sistema científico al “1 por ciento” de inversión en ciencia y tecnología fue el compromiso que el gobernador de Buenos Aires frente a un millar de investigadores, tecnólogos y empresarios reunidos en el seminario de la fundación Desarrollo Argentino (DAR).
“Como presidente, voy a incrementar desde el 0,6 por ciento al 1 por ciento de inversión del PBI en ciencia y tecnología”, afirmó Scioli, en referencia a un sector “que no puede quedar librado al mercado”.
“Estamos ante un sector estratégico” de cara a lo que se viene, dijo Scioli, y convocó a “poner en valor lo hecho en estos años en los que, si Argentina no se hubiera industrializado y dependiera del precio de los ‘comodities’ (materias primas), estaría en problemas“.
“Ahora viene la segunda etapa, con un compromiso de continuidad en un sector que no puede quedar librado al mercado” cuando la ciencia y la tecnología son clave para la “competitividad, que tiene que venir de la eficiencia y no de la devaluación y el recorte de los salarios”, definió.
“Que mi victoria sea la victoria también de la ciencia, la tecnología, el conocimiento, de los que se la jugaron para volver a la Argentina” como científicos repatriados, alentó.
