Investigadores del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) pertenecientes a la Plataforma País Ciencia brindaron charlas, talleres y mantuvieron un encuentro con docentes en la Escuela Nacional de Adrogué que busca despertar el interés científico en los jóvenes.
La jornada comenzó con palabras de Hernán Grecco, miembro de la Plataforma, agradeció la invitación a la comunidad del partido de Almirante Brown y alentó a los presentes a estudiar carreras científicas: “Hay muchas oportunidades para aquellos que quieren ser científicos a través de becas. Ustedes también pueden ser científicos. Tenemos que tener una visión de futuro basada en el desarrollo productivo e innovación tecnológica”.
El encuentro contó con la presencia del precandidato a intendente de Almirante Brown por el FpV, Mariano Cascallares; Leonardo Herrera, presidente del Consejo Escolar de Almirante Brown y autoridades en materia educativa de la región.
“La ciencia y la tecnología son fundamentales para el desarrollo de un país y son importantes estás iniciativas que estimulan el interés científico en los jóvenes porque comienzan a formar a los próximos científicos del país”, destacó Cascallares quién participó, con los alumnos, de los experimentos que los investigadores del Conicet enseñaron en el laboratorio del colegio.
La primera charla estuvo a cargo de Grecco, doctor en física e investigador del CONICET: “La luz en las cosas”, en la que expresó que “áreas tan importantes como la energía, la educación, la salud, el almacenamiento de datos y la comunicación se valen de la luz como herramienta”. Durante la exposición, Grecco mostró experimentos que se pueden replicar fácilmente en los hogares.
“En busca del cerebro emocional” estuvo a cargo de la Lic. Natalia Lozano, investigadora de la Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora. A partir de algunos interrogantes y videos disparadores, Lozano interactuó con los presentes para introducir conceptos básicos sobre las emociones, el funcionamiento cerebral y sus divisiones principales.
Además, se realizaron en simultáneo talleres teórico experimentales para alumnos. Las temáticas se enmarcaron en la química y la física, y como la ciencia está inmersa en la vida cotidiana. En las diferentes propuestas los alumnos participaron activamente a través del intercambio de preguntas.
El primer taller estuvo a cargo de Olga Tarzi, Dra. en química e investigadora del Consejo. En el taller “Ácidos y bases para todos los días”, se partieron de conceptos como acidez y basicidad para mostrarlos en la práctica con elementos cotidianos.
Además, el Equipo de Popularización de la Ciencia de Exactas de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (FCEyN UBA) realizó diversas experiencias en relación al fenómeno físico de la sincronización, en el cual un sistema de osciladores autónomos interactúan entre sí hasta quedar todos acoplados. A su vez, lo relacionaron con la sincronización del destello de las luciérnagas.
A continuación, hubo un encuentro para docentes, “¿Respiran o fermentan?”, que estuvo a cargo del profesor y doctor en bioquímica Néstor Labonia, en donde se visualizó un experimento simple junto a los profesores, quienes podrán replicarlo en sus aulas y captar la atención de los alumnos.
