Después de 40 años de espera los usuarios del Tren Roca, ramal La Plata, reciben la buena noticia del comienzo de la etapa final de electrificación del ferrocarril. Pero para poder culminar las obras, el Ministerio del Interior y Transporte anunció que desde la próxima semana el ramal dejará de funcionar por 90 días y que el recorrido será sustituido con colectivos adicionales.
Los trabajos que se desarrollarán en los próximos 90 días comprenden “el montado de catenarias, cables de media y alta tensión, y energización de los mismos“, precisó la cartera.
Debido al despliegue de cables que implica esta etapa de trabajo “se hace imposible y peligroso la circulación de trenes” y además “se generará una fuerte presencia de maquinarias en la zona de vías, lo que obliga a suspender el servicio“, añadió la dependencia en un comunicado.
“Vamos a cumplir con la palabra empeñada y terminar esta obra que fue prometida hace más de 40 años y que nunca se concretó“, afirmó el titular de Interior y Transporte, Florencio Randazzo. “Antes de fin de año la electrificación del Roca hasta La Plata va a ser una realidad”, aseguró.
Renovación de los trenes
Asimismo, el funcionario nacional subrayó que “junto con la incorporación de los 300 coches eléctricos 0km para renovar todos los ramales, el tren Roca va a volver a ser la columna vertebral que articule la movilidad de toda la zona sur del gran Buenos Aires”.
Destacó además que “la finalización de la obra permitirá la incorporación de los coches eléctricos 0km de última generación que serán embarcados desde China en las próximas semanas”, y anunció que “en el caso de La Plata, por ejemplo, se pasará de un tren cada 24 minutos a uno cada 12. Y la reducción de tiempo de viaje será de 80 minutos a 55 entre cabeceras”.
Funcionarán servicio de colectivos
Mientras duren los trabajos, Transporte pondrá a disposición de los pasajeros un servicio de colectivos alternativos que unirá las estaciones de la línea, que circularán entre las 04 y las 23 desde la puerta de las estaciones de tren y tendrán un costo igual al pasaje de ferrocarril.
Los boletos se abonarán con SUBE en el colectivo o en las propias boleterías de la estaciones, que permanecerán abiertas.
Además, habrá servicio de colectivos directos que conecten las principales estaciones de la línea y otro servicio que parará en todas las estaciones del ramal.
También habrá servicios de colectivos directos entre Constitución y La Plata, cada 5 minutos; y entre Constitución y Quilmes, y Constitución y Berazategui, cada 3 minutos.
En tanto, habrá servicios que circulen uniendo todas las estaciones cada 8 minutos.
