La presidenta Cristina Fernández de Kirchner anunció un aumento del 30 por ciento para la Asignación Universal por Hijo, la asignación por embarazo y las asignaciones familiares.
Durante el acto realizado en el Salón de la Mujeres de la Casa de Gobierno, la mandataria apuntó que espera que el incremento, “con la aprobación del proyecto de ley de movilidad, sea el último aumento” dictado por el Ejecutivo para las diferentes asignaciones que otorga el Estado nacional.
De esta manera, la AUH pasa de 644 a 837 pesos, lo que representa un incremento del 30 por ciento, medida que beneficia a más de 3,6 millones de niños y niñas en todo el país.
Proyecto de ley para actualizar las asignaciones
En el acto, la presidenta anunció el envío de un proyecto al Congreso para que la asignación universal por hijo, por embarazo y las asignaciones familiares aumenten con el mismo índice con el que se ajustan las jubilaciones, dos veces al año.
El proyecto de ley que será enviado al Congreso, según la Presidenta, se realiza “para que el aumento se produzca en forma automática y no esté sujeto a alguien que quiera licuar este beneficio, mediante la no concesión de aumentos, para que con el tiempo la AUH pase a ser un recuerdo”.
Asimismo, la mandataria criticó a quienes “con mediocridad denostaron” a esa política pública, ya que “hoy es en el mundo, para el Banco Mundial, la Cepal, la FAO y los principales cientistas sociales, uno de los principales programas de lucha contra la pobreza y el hambre”.
