Un jubilado de 76 años murió a causa de las graves mordeduras que sufrió al ser atacado por su perro, de raza pitbull, al salir en defensa de su nieta, de 16, que también resultó lastimada por el can en una casa de la localidad de Remedios de Escalada, partido de Lanús.
Los perros de raza Pitbull aparecen frecuentemente en informaciones que dan cuenta de ataques a niños y personas adultas, aún tratándose de sus dueños, como es el caso producido en las últimas horas en la calle Balcarce al 3700 -de esa localidad del Sur bonaerense-, donde un animal atacó ferozmente a una adolescente provocándole lesiones en la espalda, en un brazo y en la cabeza y luego atacó a su propio dueño, indicaron fuentes policiales. Al presenciar el ataque, el abuelo de la menor se interpuso y pudo liberar a su nieta de las garras del animal. Sin embargo, el perro se abalanzó contra el anciano hiriéndolo gravemente en la cabeza, razón por la cual fue trasladado rápidamente al Hospital Evita de Lanús, donde falleció al llegar a la guardia, a causa de las lesiones, en tanto la ado-lescente continúa internada, y su estado de salud no corre peligro. Según se informó, el perro fue trasladado por personal de Zoonosis Municipal e interviene en el caso la UFI N° 17 de Lomas de Zamora.
