El Jefe de Urgencias y Emergencias de la UPA, Francisco Fajardo, explicó que si bien cuentan con un número de profesionales acorde al lugar, necesitan más médicos para reforzar los horarios y períodos que quedan descubierto, como es el caso de las licencias o las vacaciones.
Una de las vacantes que más se necesitan cubrir son las guardias pediatras.“Se hace difícil; en general a todos los hospitales buscan médicos de guardia, sobre todo pediatras, que son lo que más necesita la población. No hay pediatras de guardia en ningún lado y dentro de lo que hay, sobre todo en ámbito privado, no llega a cubrir la complejidad que necesita un paciente pediátrico con cuestiones más graves”, indicó Fajardo.
Una de las posibilidades que tienen los médicos al trabajar en la UPA es poder ingresar a la carrera hospitalaria a nivel provincial ya que esta unidad depende del hospital Lucio Meléndez de Adrogué.
“Si alguien quiere presentarse por concurso a otro tipo de cargos estando nombrados en esta institución, se puede presentar y ganarlo tal vez. Se entra a lo que es la carera hospitalaria directamente”, precisó el doctor. Farjardo también destacó la confianza que los vecinos tienen con la Upa: “Viene gente de diferentes localidades y algunas que a pesar de que cuentan con obra social deciden atenderse aquí por la rapidez y el servicio”
