La presidenta Cristina Fernández de Kirchner afirmó que “unos de los desafíos de la democracia argentina y de la gestión del Estado es bajar de los discursos a los hechos y las realidades y hoy estamos inaugurando el Banco Nacional de Materiales Controlados del Registro Nacional de Armas”, ubicado en el partido bonaerense de San Martín.
“Este es el único en todo el país, y para lograr políticas de desarme se requiere la decisión de hacerlo, los recursos y la realización en sí”, destacó la Presidenta.
“Este gobierno ha destruido más armas que ningún otro gobierno en ninguna otra etapa” , dijo y anunció que en los próximos meses se llegará a la destrucción de 300.000 armas según informa la agencia de noticas Telam.
Por otra parte, Cristina pidió al Congreso Nacional que dé impulso a proyectos de ley presentados por distintos legisladores tendientes a reemplazar el “viejo y obsoleto” Registro Nacional de Armas (Renar) por una “agencia nacional” para que “la política en materia de portación y tenencia de armas” sea “una política nacional controlada por el Estado”.
