La Cámara de Diputados dio media sanción hoy al proyecto que crea la Agencia Nacional de Materiales Controlados (Anmac), en reemplazo del Registro Nacional de Armas (Renar), con el objetivo de darle mayor presencia estatal a la fiscalización y control de la tenencia y portación de armas de fuego.
La iniciativa, impulsada por el actual secretario general de la Presidencia y ex legislador, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro, recibió el respaldo mayoritario de los bloques, con 182 votos afirmativos, dos abstenciones y uno sólo negativo.
El proyecto resumió los lineamientos impulsados de Pedro; la diputada kirchnerista María del Carmen Bianchi (FPV); del dirigente de la Coalición Cívica Pablo Javkin (CC) y de la candidata a presidente Margarita Stolbizer.
El texto establece que la agencia que reemplazará al Renar será un organismo descentralizado y autárquico en el ámbito del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos de la Nación y estará a cargo de un director ejecutivo con rango y jerarquía de subsecretario de Estado, designado por el Poder Ejecutivo nacional.
La idea es que el nuevo organismo no esté sólo a cargo del registro de armas, sino también de la activa participación en el diseño e implementación de políticas de prevención de la violencia armada; la agilización del proceso judicial para destruir las armas rápidamente y el establecimiento de mayores requisitos para quienes soliciten la autorización para ser legítimos usuarios.
Con la puesta en marcha de la Anmac, se busca que el Estado nacional cuente con un organismo que permita institucionalizar las políticas de control de armas y que aporte a la elaboración de estadísticas e informes sobre circulación de armas legales e ilegales.
“Wado” de Pedro, destacó la media sanción que otorgó la Cámara de Diputados al proyecto que crea la Agencia Nacional de Materiales Controlados (Anmac) en reemplazo del Registro Nacional de Armas (Renar), al sostener que “seguimos construyendo una sociedad más segura para caminar hacia un futuro sin violencia”.
El funcionario nacional, quien dio impulso a la Ley como diputado nacional, destacó que el objetivo de crear la Anmac apunta a “darle mayor presencia estatal a la fiscalización y control de la tenencia y portación de armas de fuego“, según explicó a través de su cuenta de Twitter.
