El Índice de Desocupación bajó al 6,6 por ciento durante el segundo trimestre del año desde el 7,3 por ciento que midió en igual período del 2014, informó el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INDEC).
El organismo indicó también que la subocupación demandante, entendida como la cantidad de gente que trabaja menos de 35 horas semanales pero quisieran laborar mas, alcanzó entre abril y junio al 6,6 por ciento, por debajo del 7,5 por ciento de igual período del 2014, mientras que el indicador de los no demandantes avanzó al 2,8 por ciento contra el 2,6 por ciento anterior.
Frente a un promedio nacional de desocupación del 6,6 por ciento, los menores índices de desempleo se anotaron en Resistencia, con pleno empleo, Misiones con el 1 por ciento, Santiago del Estero 1,3 por ciento; y Formosa 1,4 por ciento.
En contrapartida, los mayores niveles de desocupación se dieron en Córdoba con el 10,2 por ciento; Rosario, 8,3 por ciento; Mar del Plata, 8,1 por ciento, mientras que con el 6,9 por ciento se ubica Río Cuarto y San Nicolás, en territorios cordobés y bonaerense, respectivamente.
La Ciudad de Buenos Aires y el Conurbano, donde se concentra un tercio de la población, mostró una desocupación promedio del 7,2 por ciento, por de bajo del 7,7 por ciento de abril-junio del año pasado.
Este registro de 7,2 por ciento en la desocupación fue producto de un índice de 5,1 por ciento para la Capital Federal, y del 7,9 por ciento para los partidos adyacentes.
“Esta nueva baja en el desempleo no es casualidad. Es el resultado de la protección que surge de las políticas laborales que implementa el gobierno. Políticas que frente a una crisis mundial de trabajo muy profunda exige protección. Y eso es precisamente lo que hacemos“, sostuvo el ministro de Trabajo, Carlos Tomada.
El funcionario consideró que el indicador en 6,6 por ciento “tira por tierra el cataclismo que los analistas de la oposición nos quieren pintar. Es la demostración que lo que buscan es asustar para ajustar“, según un comunicado difundido por la cartera laboral.
El funcionario destacó que tal como sostiene la presidenta Cristina Fernández “esta baja no es magia“, sino fruto de “política, esfuerzo y voluntad para más inclusión, más derechos y más futuro“.
“Antes, cualquier crisis económica mundial provocaba una desocupación inmediata en el país. Hoy no. Porque hay una estructura que resiste no solo los embates que vienen de afuera y también los de adentro. Porque hay un Estado muy presente que está cuando los privados no lo hacen o no pueden hacerlo”, aseguró Tomada.
Tras el derrumbe de la convertibilidad, a fines del 2001, el índice de desocupación alcanzó su punto máximo con el 21,5 por ciento en la medición de mayo del 2002.
Para mayo de 1994, con el Plan de Convertibilidad a pleno, junto con las privatizaciones de los servicios públicos y la desregulación de la economía, la tasa de desocupación superó el 10 por ciento, y llegó al 18 por ciento en 1995, con la economía afectada, además, por la crisis económica desatada en México y conocida como “efecto tequila”.
En 1989, en cambio, en pleno proceso hiperinflacionario, la descupación alcanzó 8,1 por ciento.
