Con esa frase, el director ejecutivo del PAMI y ex candidato a intendente de Almirante Brown, Carlos Regazzoni, salió a explicar la falta de cobertura de PAMI respecto de ciertos medicamentos y el tope que impuso su gestión, que sólo cubre cuatro medicamentos por mes sin costo a cada jubilado o pensionado, salvo que inicie un trámite de excepción.
“Lo estaban fundiendo al PAMI con el robo de los medicamentos”, justificó Regazzoni en una entrevista que brindó esta tarde en Radio Del Plata, respecto de la denuncia de miles de jubilados sobre la no cobertura de medicamentos. Artrolar, por caso, un remedio para el artrosis, no está incluido en la cobertura de la obra social de los jubilados y pensionados. Explicó Regazzoni. “Las asociaciones médicas y nosotros recomendamos que no se usen más ciertos tipos de remedios, Artrolar entre ellos, por eso desalentamos su uso”, dijo.
Luego, Regazoni explicó que si el médico insiste en que el paciente debe tomarlo a pesar de que PAMI no lo cubre el beneficiario debe iniciar un trámite de excepción, con la demora del caso.
El director del PAMI explicó también el cambio de contratos en los médicos de cabecera y salió a desmentir los despidos. “Desde el 1 de diciembre entrará un nuevo sistema en la elección de médicos de cabecera”, dijo y negó que se hayan echado a profesionales de la salud.
Debió aclarar que “ninguno de los actuales médicos de cabecera de PAMI va a quedar afuera del nuevo sistema” y que “todos son libres de adherir”. “Desde el 1 de diciembre, los Médicos de Cabecera podrán indicar importantes estudios a sus pacientes sin necesidad de ser derivados a otro médico. De esta manera, buscamos hacer más efectiva la atención de nuestros afiliados sin hacerles perder su valioso tiempo”, dijo.
