Ignacio Grignaschi, deportista oriundo de Almirante Brown, participó de la “Travessia Bombinhas 8KM” un certamen en aguas abiertas en el estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil. El atleta browniano quedó 3° en su categoría y 31° en la general.
El fin de semana pasado se desarrolló en la ciudad de Bombinhas, pertenciente al estado de San Catarina, al sur de Brasil, la tercera edición de la “Travessia Bomninhas 8K”, una competencia internacional de aguas abiertas en la que cientos de nadadores de diferentes partes de la región compiten en un circuito de aguas abiertas comprendido entre la playa Conceiçao (donde fue la salida) y dando la vuelta por la Isla de Maruco, próxima a la costa de la ciudad balnearia brasileña.
“Se trató de una carrera durísima, largamos alrededor de las 8:30 de la mañana y eramos unos 135 nadadores. La verdad que la dirección del viento hizo que hayan olas desde principio hasta el fin de la competición. A pesar de ello, estoy muy contento porque pude completar una buena marca y quedar entre los primeros de mi categoría”, afirmó Grignaschi a Brown On Line.
El nadador local logró el tercer puesto en su categoría y quedó como trigésimo primero en la tabla general, una marca muy buena si se tiene en cuenta la importancia del torneo y las condiciones climáticas y del agua que no fueron las mejores: “La carrera fue con traje de neoprene ya que el agua todavía está muy fria para esa época. Me sentí muy bien hasta tres cuartos de la competición, después de ahí empecé a sentir nauseas ya que las olas no paraban. Ahí tuve que nadar más lento y preocuparme por llegar al final. En ese último tramo, debido a esta situación, perdí como 12 posiciones en la clasificación general, sin embargo estoy conforme con el resultado”.
En lo que respecta al futuro, lo más importante a nivel personal será el nacimiento de su primer hijo con su actual pareja, la reconocida nadadora Noelia Petti. A partir de allí evaluará si estará en condiciones de correr la competición de aguas abiertas en Vuelta de Obligado, en San Pedro, una carrera que se correrá en noviembre, de la cual el browniano nadó el año pasado y tiene muchas ganas de repetirla este año.
