El 27 de junio del 2012, Pablo Gallo fue a acompañar a su primo en bicicleta a su casa y cuando volví lo atropelló un Renault 19 blanco en la avenida San Martín. El conductor huyó y Pablo, a raíz del accidente, falleció.
Tal como informamos en Brown Online, hace un mes se está desarrollando el juicio a Ezequiel Penedo, acusado de “homicidio culposo” por atropellar y matar al joven de Rafael Calzada y luego darse a la fuga. En ese marco, declararon Ricardo Crespo –tío de Penedo– y María Vega Gallo, madre de la víctima.
Si bien estaba previsto que el lunes se llevara a cabo la jornada de alegatos entre las partes, la defensa de Penedo pidió un nuevo careo entre el comprador del auto involucrado en el caso y el tío del imputado. Es que ambos discrepan respecto de la fecha en que el imputado le ofreció el vehículo.
Ante el Juez, Crespo declaró que Walter Ezequiel Correa, comprador del Renault 19 blanco implicado en el hecho, “le había pedido comprar el coche (a Penedo) entre quince y veinte días antes del accidente”, postura que se contradice con la del propio Correa, quien insistió en que el imputado le ofreció el auto el 29 de junio de 2012, dos días después de que Pablo fuese atropellado.
Es por eso que se pactó un nuevo careo para el próximo viernes, y de eso dependerá la jornada de alegatos. El careo será en la sala del Juzgado en lo Correccional Nº 5 del Departamento Judicial de Lomas de Zamora. Además, se espera que declare un último testigo, presentado por la defensa.
La familia de Gallo espera que sea haga justicia. “Llegamos a este juicio después de una larga lucha que incluyó marchas y discusiones con funcionarios del Municipio de Almirante Brown y con policías”, contó la mamá de la víctima, María Vega, quien calificó al imputado como un “un loco del volante” porque – aseguró – “la gente lo sigue viendo cómo pasa en un auto a gran velocidad”.
