Cristina Fernández de Kirchner participó de la ceremonia, que será oficiada por el arzobispo de la Arquidiócesis de Mercedes-Luján, Agustín Radrizzani. Previamente, la jefa de Estado recorrió las obras de restauración de la Basílica. La misa arrancó alrededor de las 12 del mediodía.
El evento arrancó alrededor de las 12, en Luján, debido a que conmemora “la licitación N 1”, que se realizó en el año 2003, cuando el ex presidente Néstor KIrchner decidió iniciar los trabajos de su restauración de la basílica, luego de la que la cruz principal se hubiera desplomado en el año 2000.
La Presidenta recordó que “la terminamos de restaurar, de reconstruir, este año 2015, a 12 años de que él le contara a los argentinos que tenía un sueño, que era el sueño de ver una Argentina levantada, reconstruida en la cual pudiéramos mirarnos a los ojos”.
Y sobre la cruz enterrada, la Presidenta recordó que “cuando llegamos al gobierno, todavía estaba allí enterrada; nos tocó desenterrar esa cruz y muchas cruces más y nos dedicamos a restaurar esa Basílica, que van a poder ver todos los argentinos totalmente terminada este 25 de mayo”.
“Quiero estar ahí como un símbolo de lo que hemos logrado, en estos doce años felices y tristes al mismo tiempo. Porque la vida es así, ni todo es tristeza, ni todo es felicidad, si no, no sería vida; y, además, porque ¿sino tenés felicidad, cómo te das cuenta cuando estás triste? Así que, bueno, vamos a estar allí este 25 de mayo”, sostuvo Cristina unas horas antes de encabezar el acto oficial.
En tanto, la jefa de Estado twitteó minutos antes de que comenzara este día, que el tradicional Himno Nacional, se transmitiría por cadena nacional y que sería interpretado por la Sinfónica Nacional y por Elena Roger en el Centro Cultural Néstor Kirchner, como parte de los actos por los festejos de la Semana de Mayo.
“Este 25 de mayo lo recibimos en la Ballena Azul del @CCKirchner (Centro Cultural Néstor Kirchner) con la Sinfónica Nacional y Elena Roger, en cadena”, escribió la Presidenta a la sociedad.
También utilizó la red social para explicar la importancia del sable corvo, mostró las fotos de los eventos de ayer, y reseñó cómo fue utilizado “contra las injustas pretensiones de los extranjeros”.
Las actividades festivas seguieron hoy desde el mediodía. Según los organizadores, pasaron más de un millón de personas.
Esta tarde se pudieron escuchar artistas como la Banda Zamba, Maravillosa Música, Agarrate Catalina, Ana Prada, Buena Vista Social Club, Fabiana Cantilo, David Lebon, Javier Malosetti, Emilio del Guercio, Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, Palo Pandolfo, Leo García, Litto Nebbia y la Bersuit.
