Más de 80 intendentes y 2 mil policías de la Provincia participarán el 13 de febrero del “Congreso de Implementación de las nuevas unidades Antinarco, DDI y Patrullas Rurales” que se realizará en Mar del Plata, evento que será encabezado por el gobernador Daniel Scioli y el ministro de Seguridad, Alejandro Granados.
“El objetivo será el de profundizar la decisión anunciada por el ministro de crear cada una de estas unidades en los 135 municipios de la Provincia, a través de una descentralización histórica”, aseguró el subsecretario de Planificación del Ministerio de Seguridad, Fernando Jantus.
El encuentro. Remarcó que a los 2 mil policías que participarán del congreso, que forman parte del Operativo Sol, “se les va a dar una academia general sobre lucha antinarcóticos, investigaciones y patrullas rurales, y posteriormente, cada uno de ellos irá al municipio que le corresponde a trabajar”.
El funcionario sostuvo que la futura Policía Local trabajará “en comunión” con la Provincial, pero –según dijo- “la nueva fuerza apuntará más a la prevención y al contacto con el vecino”. Aseguró además que el Operativo Sol desplegado por el Gobierno provincial “está siendo uno de los más memorables de la historia de la Provincia”.
Jantus informó que ante un llamado de alerta realizado por un vecino al sistema del 911, “tanto la Policía Local como la de la Provincia acudirán de inmediato, pero la diferencia está en que el Jefe de la Policía Local va a dirigir a sus propios policías”.
