La Universidad Nacional de Almirante Brown (UNAB) obtuvo, por amplia mayoría, el respaldo favorable de las comisiones de Presupuesto y Educación para que sea tratada en el Senado y así se convierta en ley.
En este marco, el candidato a intendente de Almirante Brown por el Frente para la Victoria (FPV), Mariano Cascallares mantuvo un encuentro con los presidentes de las mencionadas comisiones los senadores Juan Manuel Abal Medina y Eduardo Aguilar.
A la salida, el candidato aseguró que “estamos a un paso de que la iniciativa que crea la Casa de Altos Estudios sea aprobada” por la Cámara Alta convirtiéndose en ley.
“Estamos trabajando muy fuerte para la creación de nuestra Universidad que articulará con nuestro Parque Industrial de Almirante Brown, uno de los más granes de la provincia que actualmente genera más de 10 mil puestos de empleo”, destacó Cascallares.
La Universidad de Almirante Brown se sumará a las 15 universidades nacionales creadas por el Gobierno Nacional desde el año 2003, que en su mayoría reciben estudiantes que son primera generación de universitarios de sus familias.
Finalmente Cascallares agregó que “vamos a seguir trabajando en la preservación de nuestra Quinta Rocca en Burzaco, impulsando el tratamiento legislativo del proyecto que está próximo a convertirse en ley y consensuando con todos los sectores de Almirante Brown cómo será nuestra futura Universidad que ya es una realidad palpable”.
