La empresa argentina de soluciones satelitales ArSat y el Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (Incaa) firmaron un acuerdo para el desarrollo de la primera plataforma en Internet de video ondemand con contenidos nacionales.
El viernes ultimo, la Presidenta del INCAA, Lucrecia Cardoso, junto a Matías Bianchi, Presidente de ARSAT, formalizaron la puesta en marcha de la Base de Contenidos del INCAA y firmaron el convenio para la creación del primer servicio ondemand de contenidos nacionales.
Cardoso destacó que la nueva plataforma “nace de la articulación ente los dos organismos”, y señaló que “la convergencia digital es un desafío asumido y que desde hace tiempo se viene discutiendo” en el país.
Sobre el proyecto, afirmó que ‘es un privilegio hacerlo con ArSat, y remarcó que “es consecuencia de un conjunto de políticas del gobierno nacional que impulsaron la democratización de la comunicación y el acceso a los contenidos de manera federal”.
Por su parte, el Presidente de ARSAT destacó, “Para nosotros es un honor que el INCAA y la industria cinematográfica audiovisual nos permitan dotar de contenidos nacionales a nuestra red”.
La Base de Contenidos Incaa, que estará alojada en el Centro Nacional de Datos de ArSat, integrará “tanto las películas futuras como el acervo histórico nacional”, permitiéndole a los tenedores de derechos el acceso a un servicio de almacenamiento digital gratuito.
ArSat desarrollará y gestionará la plataforma, además de encargarse del hosting, storage, streaming y su gestión comercial.
La plataforma genera una nueva vía de exhibición para el estreno y la circulación de contenidos nacionales, y pone a disposición del público el vasto contenido audiovisual producido por el Estado Nacional en sus distintos formatos. También protegerá los derechos de exhibición y de autor, lo que desalienta la venta de contenidos audiovisuales por fuera de ámbitos de economía formal, que a su vez fortalece el empleo de la industria audiovisual.
Las películas estarán protegidas por las tecnologías de gestión de derechos digital y el servicio será geo-bloqueado, lo que significa que funcionará solamente en Argentina, y países de la región a definir según los derechos de cada película y los acuerdos que puedan realizarse a futuro con terceros países.
