Poco después fuentes policiales indicaron que el muerto sería un preso que se había escapado el pasado 10 de agosto en Ingeniero Budge, durante un traslado policial del Comando de Patrullas Comunitarias de Lomas de Zamora.
Durante la tarde circuló la versión de que el muerto presentaba un disparo en la cabeza, pero no fue confirmada.
