El precandidato del Frente para la Victoria por la lista 2, Mariano Cascallares, se impusó con claridad a Darío Giustozzi en la interna de esa fuerza, obteniendo una ventaja del 30 por ciento según los datos oficiales. Con el 97 por ciento de las mesas escrutadas, Cascallares alcanzaba el 61 por ciento contra el 38 del ex-delfín de Sergio Massa.
Ayer a la medianoche cuando la tendencia ya era irreversible, todo era felicidad y alegría en el bunker de Cascallares que quedó como el mejor posicionado para lograr la intendencia en las elecciones generales de octubre. Todo lo contrario se vivió en el círculo de Giustozzi que, ya aceptando la derrota, abandonaron la sede central de cómputos aunque todavía faltaban actas de escrutinios que contabilizar. La depresión era mortal.
El giustozzismo no esperaba este nivel de derrota con números tales que lo dejan al ex massista en tercer lugar detrás de Carlos Regazzoni, el candidato de Cambiemos, quien superó a la radical Gladys Gaona en la interna de su espacio político.
El FpV ganó en la mayoría de los barrios de Almirante Brown con un holgado 52 por ciento contra el 20 del PRO. Cascallares fue el candidato a intendente más elegido por los vecinos con un 32 por ciento de los votos, seguido, de lejos, por Regazzoni con un 20,66, Giustozzi con un 20 y el candidato de Massa, Mario Serrano con un 9 por ciento de los votos.
“La victoria es lograr un Almirante Brown más justo con las políticas de Néstor y Cristina, que ahora tienen continuidad con Daniel Scioli“, aseguró ayer Cascallares al hablar a la medianoche ante los militantes que se acercaron a festejar, y enfatizó: “Tenemos una muy buena propuesta de gobierno que es la que le hicimos llegar a los vecinos del distrito de Almirante Brown y nosotros vamos a trabajar para que aquellos que no nos acompañaron en esta primera vuelta lo hagan el 25 de octubre. Creemos que es posible un Almirante Brown mucho más inclusivo y mejor”.

Por su parte su candidato a primer concejal, José Lepere, remarcó el trabajo de los militantes y aseguró: “Este es el triunfo de la militancia, el esfuerzo y las convicciones por sobre los intereses y las ambiciones personales”.
