El precandidato a intendente por el FpV de Almirante Brown, Mariano Cascallares, aseguró que “durante nuestra gestión al frente del Municipio browniano concretaremos el demorado proyecto de la Universidad Nacional de Almirante Brown (UNAB)”.
Tras recordar que durante la gestión de Rubén Darío Giustozzi nunca se impulsó la iniciativa, Cascallares aseguró que “desde el Frente para la Victoria (FPV) vamos a hacer realidad este verdadero sueño de toda la comunidad”.
El proyecto lleva años paralizado y obtuvo media sanción en el Congreso Nacional merced a la gestión del FpV que logró recolectar miles de adhesiones a la nueva Casa de Altos Estudios, impulsada también por otros referentes de esa fuerza política, como José Lepere, candidato a primer concejal en la lista de unidad que el kirchnerismo selló para enfrentar a Giustozzi.
De ser elegido, Cascallares y su equipo deberán trabajar duro: la Quinta Rocca, el lugar que heredó la actual administración municipal para que sea la sede de la nueva Universidad, se encuentra abandonada por la gestión que ahora encabeza Daniel Bolettieri.
Cascallares insistió en que la lista de unidad que encabeza está “trabajando muy fuerte para que comience a funcionar en nuestra ciudad la décima universidad creada en nuestro país durante la última década ganada”.
“Luego de que durante los últimos años la gestión de Rubén Giustozzi no adoptara medida alguna para impulsar el proyecto, el Frente para la Victoria volvió a darle estado parlamentario en el Congreso y lleva adelante una campaña para que la UNAB sea una realidad”, se precisó desde el FpV.
Aunque resta el tratamiento del proyecto, que ya tiene la media sanción de los diputados nacionales, sobra el optimismo respecto de la creación de una universidad en uno de los pocos distritos del Sur que no cuenta con una casa de altos estudios.
