Sinclair es una banda de rock sin un anclaje estilístico específico, cuyo epicentro es la ciudad de Glew desde donde vienen tocando, haciendo canciones y grabando discos, desde septiembre de 2004.
De momento, tienen 3 producciones: La expedición de Eric Laminsi, 2007; Duerme en la Tormenta, 2011 y Capitán Olivera, 2013. En relación a los discos, la banda sostiene que “hay diferencias muy grandes entre cada disco, están articulados por directrices muy distintas, pero entendemos que el camino es hacia una síntesis, porque cada vez grabamos con menos pistas. El primer disco es lejos el más experimental, muy noise, enmarcado en una especie de psicodelia digital, con la sobrecarga de tomas como eje principal, eso se fue reduciendo en las sucesivas producciones, dejando más en limpio vibración natural que llevan las canciones”.
En la actualidad están grabando las canciones que estarán contenidas en su cuarto disco, aún sin nombre tentativo, de ahí se desprende “El segundo incendio”cuyo video fue vertebrado bajo la tutela digital de Jonatan Daikow, que filmo y edito con gran celeridad y criterio.
En referencia al video, los Sinclair remarcan que “fue un proceso muy fluido, el guión salió de la banda y Joni nos interpretó muy bien, lo filmamos en unas horas y luego el edito y aplicó su ojo de productor audiovisual, muy agudo. Estamos contentos y nos gustaría seguir trabajando con él, tenemos en mente hacer un corto, hay varias ideas que tenemos que ir ordenando, pero tenemos confianza de que eso va a salir, al igual que el próximo disco, antes de fin de año”
Sinclair pasó por diversas formaciones, a lo largo de estos casi 11 años, de todos modos su formación actual sucede bajo la sustancia que desprenden: Angel Solis; Manuel Alvarez, Chango Maidana, Carlos Romano, José Ots y Nicolas Farache.
Cabe destacar que si bien Sinclair ensaya y graba en Glew, algunos de sus miembros son de Guernica y Claypole. El nombre completo de la banda es: Sinclair y el Plato lleno de Espantapájaros Alados, en este sentido, desde el interior de la banda afirma que “lo de los espantapájaros alados tiene que ver con apostar a lo imposible, es decir que un espantapájaros que es lo más inerte que puede existir, rompa a volar. Entendemos el terreno del arte desde ese lugar, como un lugar donde podemos ir por lo imposible, estando en capacidad de transgredir las reglas de la vida cotidiana. Todos tenemos nuestros trabajos y nuestras obligaciones por fuera de la banda, pero a la hora de hacer música, nos desprendemos de eso y entendemos que lo imposible se puede materializar”.
