En consonancia con la inauguración del Sitio de la Memoria en la ESMA se inauguró en el jardín N°923 “Macedonio Rodríguez” de Burzaco dos murales que realizaron los nenes de la institución.
El acto contó con la presencia de la precandidata a Intendente de Almirante Brown por el Frente para la Victoria, María Rosa Martínez, el nieto recuperado número 85, Marcos Suarez, Héctor y Darío Rodríguez, hermano y sobrino de Macedonio y además asistieron ex combatientes de la guerra de Malvinas.
El primer mural fue en conmemoración de los nietos que aún faltan recuperar, desaparecidos en la última dictadura militar que sufrió el país. Los chicos imaginaron las caras de esos nietos y las plasmaron en la pared junto a la escritura “Entre todos los estamos buscando”.
“Para mí es una alegría tenerlo a Marcos abrazado y encontrado. Es un orgullo”, expresó Martínez madrina de Marcos ya que ella conoció a sus padres en la facultad de medicina en La Plata.
“Me parece bárbaro que los chicos sepan desde tan pequeños lo que pasó en el país en esos años”, afirmó el nieto recuperado.
En el segundo mural se le realizo un homenaje a quien lleva el nombre del jardín, Macedonio Rodríguez, ex combatiente fallecido en la Guerra de Malvinas. Darío, su sobrino, es uno de los compositores del himno del jardín y hasta tuvo el honor de cantarlo junto a los chicos.
Héctor recordó a su hermano tras ver el mural: “Entrego su vida en Malvinas solo por la patria”.
