Necesidades que los vecinos consideran indispensables para el desarrollo de su comunidad, que por diferentes motivos no pueden ser satisfechas o se demoran más de la cuenta, ahora podrán efectivizarse a través de la consulta popular.
La Municipalidad de Flo-rencio Varela acaba de aprobar la implementación del Presupuesto Participativo, una política pública que funcionará a modo de prueba en cinco ba-rrios desde este mes, en busca de cumplir correspondiente-mente con las demandas de los distintos barrios del distrito.
“La construcción de rampas, instalación de luminarias, refugios para colectivos, instalación de semáforos, realización de veredas y colocación de cámaras de seguridad”, son algunas de soluciones que pueden partir desde el Presupuesto Participativo, a través del dinero otorgado por el Municipio, según ejemplificó el secretario de Hacienda, Ariel Ciocco.

Según informa el diario “El Argentino Zona Sur”, la intención es que este nuevo sistema para Varela, pero que ya viene dando buenos resultados en el Sur, se perfec-cione de a poco y los vecinos se involucren de tal manera que el año que viene pueda ser empleado en todo el distrito.
“Comenzamos con cinco lugares, pero desde 2016, se implementará en todo el municipio, para lo cual, en este tema, se dividirá Florencio Varela en 14 zonas geográficas”, explicó Ciocco. Y agregó: “Tenemos que lograr que cada vecino participe de las reuniones y presentaciones de proyectos”.
Antes de concretar los proyectos, al principio podrán realizarse hasta 10 reuniones, pero una vez que todos capten la dinámica del programa, se reducirán para su mejor implementación. “Se trata de un programa transparente y democrático donde el municipio coordinará las reuniones”, aclararon desde la Subsecretaría de Hacienda.
Algunos de los municipios que ya vienen trabajando de esta manera en el Sur son Avella-neda, Quilmes, Berisso y Lanús. Los primeros dos comenzaron a mediados de 2010, mientras que Lanús empezó en 2012 y fue extendiendo el programa gradualmente. Otra localidad que incursiona en esta área es Almirante Brown, que puso en marcha su Presupuesto Partici-pativo en enero, tal como pro-gramó a fines del año pasado.
Las cinco zonas que forma-rán parte de la prueba piloto fueron definidas por el nivel de cobrabilidad de la tasa de servicios generales de 2014: Centro, Villa Vatteone, La Es-meralda-Villa Susana, Cruce Varela (Martín Fierro-López Romero) y Carolina 2. Podrán participar de las reuniones ba-rriales en las que los proyec-tos tomarán forma los vecinos mayores de 16 que vivan en Varela. Luego, se realizará la correspondiente votación.
