Tres personas oriundas del partido de Quilmes contrajeron dengue en la provincia de Buenos Aires, confirmó el Ministerio de Salud del distrito.
El director de Medicina Preventiva de la cartera sanitaria, Luis Crovetto, precisó que “se trata de tres casos aislados, a los que tomamos como autóctonos porque no podemos comprobar que se trate de casos importados”.
El funcionario bonaerense pidió a la población que “no descuide las medidas de prevención como el descacharrado de los patios o tomar precauciones especiales si se viaja a zonas consideradas de riesgo”.

Los expertos recordaron que el dengue (hay cuatro variedades del virus) no se contagia de persona a persona. La única manera de contraerlo es con la intermediación del mosquito: el Aedes aegypti que pica a un enfermo de dengue contagia al picar a otra persona.
La enfermedad, que se incuba entre los tres y diez días posteriores a la picadura, solía nombrarse también como fiebre rompehuesos, porque provoca altas temperaturas y fuertes dolores en articulaciones y músculos.
Si bien la mayoría de los que contrae dengue se recupera, aquellas personas que son afectadas por segunda vez por una variante distinta del virus pueden sufrir un cuadro grave signado por hemorragias con riesgo de muerte.
