Un delincuente de 23 años, que en 2014 se había fugado de la cárcel de Magdalena, fue abatido por un suboficial retirado de la Policía Bonaerense, a quien pretendió robarle el automóvil en el cual se desplazaba en la localidad de San José, Almirante Brown. Otros tres cómplices lograron fugar ilesos en una camioneta.
Según informa Crónica, este terrible hecho se produjo en El Hornero al 1.400, donde Carlos Núñez, quien guiaba un Ford Fiesta, arribó a su finca, oportunidad en la que fue interceptado con fines de robo por 4 hampones armados, quienes se desplazaban a bordo de una camioneta Ford EcoSport.
Pero Núñez- suboficial mayor retirado de esa institución de seguridad- ofreció resistencia al asalto y no dudó en enfrentarse a disparos con los asaltantes.
Núñez mató a uno de los ladrones, en tanto que los restantes individuos escaparon, rápidamente, en la camioneta.
Autoridades policiales de la comisaría de San José (3ª de Almirante Brown) procuran localizar a los delincuentes que huyeron.
Posteriormente el malviviente abatido fue identificado como Ulises Mena Cabañas, que tenía 23 años y residía en Florencio Varela. En poder del muchacho fallecido, se incautaron una pistola Colt 11.25 y una riñonera, en cuyo interior había 3 aparatos de telefonía celular, la documentación de un Renault 9 y además una cédula de identidad, emitida por la Policía Federal, a nombre de Sergio Alvarez.
Trascendió que Mena Cabañas tenía pedido de captura impartido por el Juzgado de Ejecución Penal N° 1 de Quilmes, porque el 9 de noviembre pasado se había escapado de la Unidad Penitenciaria de Magdalena, donde estuvo recluído por “Robo calificado por el empleo de arma”.
Intervino en la causa por el tiroteo la Unidad Funcional N° 6 del departamento judicial de Lomas de Zamora.
