La provincia de Buenos Aires registró en 2014 un aumento en la tasa de homicidios (TH) dolosos consumados cada 100.000 habitantes en 10 de sus 18 departamentos judiciales, siendo Lomas de Zamora, Quilmes y Mar del Plata los que tuvieron los índices más altos, mientras que Trenque Lauquen, Bahía Blanca y Necochea fueron los más bajos.
Según datos de la Procuración General de la Suprema Corte de Justicia bonaerense, se registró el año pasado un total de 1.428 homicidios (1.279 en la Justicia de mayores y 149 en el Fuero Penal de Responsabilidad Juvenil), 1.065 “simples”, 136 “criminis causa”, 139 “agravados” y 88 “en ocasión de robo”.
Al tener en cuenta que, según el último Censo de 2010, en la provincia residen 15.625.064 personas, la TH de 2014 fue de 9,13; mientras que en 2013 hubo 1.295 homicidios y la tasa fue de 8,28; al tiempo que en ese mismo año en la Capital Federal fue de 6,08 y en Rosario de 21.

-Quilmes; 11,62; con 155 homicidios y 1.333.192 habitantes en el partido homónimo, Florencio Varela y Berazategui En 2013 registró 163 homicidios y una tasa de 12,22.
-San Martín; 10,93; con 177 homicidios y 1.618.813 habitantes en el partido homónimo, Tres de Febrero, José C. Paz, Malvinas Argentinas y San Miguel. En 2013 tuvo 155 homicidios y un tasa de 9,57.
-La Matanza; 10,68; con 190 homicidios y 1.775.816 habitantes en el partido homónimo. En 2013 registró 178 homicidios y una tasa de 10,02.
-Zárate-Campana; 10,39; con 47 homicidios y 452.154 habitantes en los municipios de Zárate, Campana, Exaltación de la Cruz y Escobar. En 2013 tuvo 45 homicidios y una tasa de 9,95.
-Mercedes; 9,73; con 107 homicidios y 1.98.701 habitantes en Moreno, General Rodríguez, Luján, Marcos Paz, Mercedes, Chivilcoy, San Antonio de Areco, San Andrés de Giles, Salto, Las Heras, Bragado, Carmen de Areco, 9 de Julio, Suipacha, Navarro, Alberti y 25 de Mayo. En 2013 tuvo 101 homicidios y una tasa de 9,19.
-La Plata; 7,32; con 85 homicidios y 1.160.614 habitantes en el partido homónimo, Presidente Perón, Berisso, Ensenada, San Vicente, Cañuelas, Brandsen, Lobos, Saladillo, San Miguel del Monte, Magdalena, General Paz, Roque Pérez y Punta Indio. En 2013 registró 68 homicidios y una tasa de 5,85.
-San Nicolás; 7,31; con 23 homicidios y 314.234 habitantes en el partido homónimo, San Pedro, Ramallo, Arrecifes, Capitán Sarmiento y Baradero. En 2013 tuvo 27 homicidios y una TH de 8,59.
-San Isidro; 6,42; con 90 homicidios y 1.400.996 habitantes en el municipio homónimo, Vicente López, Tigre, Pilar y San Fernando. En 2013 tuvo 80 homicidios y una tasa de 5,71.
-Morón; 6,17; con 74 homicidios y 1.198.668 habitantes en el partido homónimo, Hurlingham, Ituzaingó y Merlo. En 2013 registró 64 homicidios y la tasa fue de 5,33.
-Dolores; 5,63; con 16 homicidios y 284.172 habitantes en el partido homónimo, Pinamar, La Costa, Villa Gesell, Chascomús, General Belgrano, General Madariaga, Castelli, Maipú, Ayacucho, General Lavalle, Tordillo, General Guido y Pila. En 2013 tuvo 19 homicidios y una TH de 6,68.
