Los dirigidos por la dupla Minasi-Gonzalez Bravo se lucieron y volvieron a mostrar un rugby de alto vuelo, similar a algunos pasajes de buen juego que tuvieron la fecha pasada en Rosario enfrentando a Duendes. Aunque deberán mejorar algunos aspectos en el terreno de la disciplina ya que volvieron a sufrir la amonestación de 3 jugadores.
En el inicio, Pucará aprovechó la dinámica de sus backs, y evitando las formaciones fijas, penetró el ingoal rival gracias a la rapidez de su fullback Felipe del Mestre, quien minutos después salió lesionado y fue reemplazado por Mariano Rego, que tuvo un gran desempeño en su debut en Primera.
Luego, la visita logró descontar a través de un penal de su goleador Federico Boehler, producto de las faltas e inconductas cometidas por el local. No obstante, sin adueñarse de la obtención y con un hombre de menos debido a la amarilla a Jonathan Marchetta, el Rojo resurgió ante las adversidades -a las cuales también se le sumó la salida del centro Brian Ormson por un corte profundo- y logró irse al descanso ganando por 17-3, gracias al try del wing Federico Torres, y un penal de su capitán Valentín Cruz.
